Smart Fix vs. FlyFix in Fort Worth: Estimates and Project Scope

FlyFix offers both handyman work and remodeling in Fort Worth. If you’re comparing it with Smart Fix, you don’t have to rule either company out just because your job is small. The more useful distinction is how each proposes to assess and finish it.

Smart Fix publishes this comparison. We reviewed the linked sources on September 20, 2026. We haven’t hired FlyFix, and we aren’t claiming a firsthand view of its crew or workmanship.

The assessment options are different

FlyFix’s website advertises a free, no-obligation estimate, including an in-person written quote. Smart Fix offers a free phone or photo review, while a Smart Scan in-person assessment costs $95.

That gives FlyFix a clear point to consider if you want someone to look at the work before you commit. Ask what the visit includes and whether your address and project qualify.

At Smart Fix, we use photos to begin defining the job. If the work needs an on-site assessment, we’ll explain the Smart Scan before scheduling it. You can start through our Fort Worth service page.

A wall repair makes the comparison practical

Our Fort Worth office wall repair was recorded at $530. It included the patch, matching the texture, and blending the paint. The project page documents the scope and photos.

Send that sort of detail to either contractor: an overview of the wall, a close-up of the damage, and whether you have matching paint. Ask how much of the wall will be painted. A patch-only price and a finished-wall price can both be reasonable, but they buy different work.

For an office, add the hours when the room must remain usable. Ask about dust protection and when the repaired area can be put back into service. A low quote won’t feel like good value if it leaves your room unavailable on the day you need it.

FlyFix’s broader menu may suit a larger project

FlyFix lists kitchen and bathroom remodeling alongside repairs. If your wall work is part of a larger room update, ask it to quote the full scope and explain who coordinates the stages.

Smart Fix can discuss the repairs on your list and identify what needs separate planning. For example, securing an upper cabinet in Fort Worth was a defined repair with a recorded price of $386. It didn’t require redesigning the room.

Those completed job prices are examples, not current flat-rate offers. They help you describe the result you want without treating every kitchen problem as a full remodel.

Don’t fill gaps in the warranty with guesses

FlyFix says it guarantees its work, but we didn’t verify a fixed warranty period in the public information reviewed. That is a reason to request its written terms. It isn’t evidence that the company offers no warranty.

Smart Fix provides a written one-year labor guarantee for covered workmanship. We also describe our W-2 employee model on our about page. Ask both businesses who will be assigned to your job and who handles any follow-up.

Decision point What to compare
Initial visit FlyFix’s free estimate terms and Smart Fix’s $95 Smart Scan
Repair cost The complete written quote for the same finished work
Timing The actual start date and any return visits
Warranty Covered work, exclusions, and the claim process

Smart Fix charges $145 an hour with a $170 repair minimum. We haven’t verified a FlyFix hourly rate that supports a cheaper-than claim.

Send us your Fort Worth repair photos, and request FlyFix’s written proposal if its assessment or remodeling services suit your project. Compare the finish and the total before choosing.
